  • Confirmation Congratulations

    Fri 17 Nov 2023

On Wednesday 8th November, 22 of our Year 6 pupils and 1 former pupil now in Year 7 received the Sacrament of Confirmation in St Osburg’s Church. It was wonderful to welcome Archbishop Bernard Longley to administer the sacrament on this special occasion. On the evening, the children looked extremely smart and were so excited to be taking this next important step in their journey of faith. I was very impressed with their reverence and active participation as they led us through the Mass and received the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The church was beautifully adorned with Holy Spirit inspired art work and displays. Special thanks to Mrs McDevitt and Miss Doyle for all their hard work in preparing the children and the church. Special thanks to Father Pontius, Father Sunday, Mrs Green (Chair of Governors) and all the other staff for their help and support in what was a beautiful evening.

Thank you to everyone who also took the time to come along to Year 6 Speed Sainting where all the pupils in Year 6 had the chance to present their information about the Saint who most inspires them. We pray that we can follow the example of those holy men and women leading lives close to God.

  • St Osburg's Feast Day

    Thu 26 Oct 2023

It was lovely to gather together as a whole school community to celebrate both Our Lady’s birthday (8th) and the feast of our patron Saint Osburg (9th). The children were wonderfully prayerful, reverent and joyful in their singing. Special thanks to the Chaplaincy Team for leading all the readings. Everyone then enjoyed a picnic lunch and an ice cream treat. We ask St Osburg, our special Coventry saint, to bless us all during this new academic year. St Osburg – Pray for us.

  • Year 6 Return From Plas Dol-y-Moch

    Fri 29 Sep 2023

Our Year 6 class returned from their residential retreat to Plas Dol-y-Moch in Wales on Sunday after a fun-filled five days away. I have loved hearing all about their adventures and seeing their photos on Twitter (X). It was especially fitting that they got the chance to explore the rivers, mountains, forests and coast during this Season of Creation. Special thanks to Mrs McDevitt for organising such a memorable experience for the children and to her, Mrs Oluremi and Ellena McDevitt for accompanying the children especially with the trip being over a weekend. • Coronation Celebrations

    Fri 12 May 2023

We had a wonderful time celebrating the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla. School is beautifully decorated and everyone was dressed for the occasion with many showing off their wonderful home-made crowns.  After a special assembly, the children enjoyed lots of different themed activities such as ‘ba-king’ crown biscuits, making decorations and keepsakes for home, writing prayers for the new King and Queen and enjoying a very special coronation picnic lunch.

  • A Lenten Thank You

    Tue 09 May 2023

Thank you to all our pupils, families, staff and governors for all your hard work and support with our Lenten fundraising and activities. We have all enjoyed some beautiful class prayer times and Inspire workshops, in addition to extra activities such as lunchtime prayers and Stations of the Cross that the Chaplaincy Team have led. We have also worked hard in a variety of ways to fundraise for CAFOD, Comic Relief, Brain Tumour Research and Father Hudson’s Good Shepherd Appeal.

Thank you so much for all the fantastic entries, we have loved looking at them all! Every class spent time exploring aspects of ‘The Lost Words’ book with some beautiful poetry being produced as well as other work and art work. The staff had lots of fun dressing up too. Did anyone spot Wally?
