Year 4
Welcome to Year 4
Year 4 joined with Year 3 to perform a Music Assembly on Thursday 17th March, to share their work in music this term. It was all about Rio and Samba, including a carnival style song at the end. See the Year 3 Class Page as well, for a few more pictures.
Something very strange occurred in Year 4 today, as children came into school to find that the classroom had been wrecked. Huge animal footprints were found in a snow like powder leading into our class cupboard, also tables and chairs had been knocked over. What could have caused such a mess and where has this beast disappeared to? Year 4 set out to investigate.
Class Confusion
The Biggest Book Show on Earth
On Friday 26th February, Year 4 children visited the Ricoh Arena in Coventry to attend The Biggest Book Show on Earth. We had the pleasure of hearing about the inspirations of some fantastic authors including author of Horrid Henry, Francesca Simon.

Black Country Museum
As part of our History topic Year 4 visited the Black Country Museum. We all had a fantastic time learning about the jobs and lives of Victorian people.
This Term in Year 4
Dilemma Stories
Our current Literacy focus is dilemma stories, during our first full week back at school children have been getting to know the story Lost or Stolen by Narinder Dhami. As part of these lessons children acted out different scenes and interviewed characters from the story.
Swimming Lessons
Children will begin swimming lessons at Coventry Sports Centre on 21st September during every afternoon for two weeks. Please ensure children have their swimming kit and towels.
Welcome To Year Four
This year Mr Dingley and Miss Doyle are delighted to be working with Year Four. This page will be updated regularly throughout the year to highlight the fantastic work of the children.
This term P.E will be on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. please ensure children have their PE kit with them on these days.
Our Meet The Teacher session will take place on Monday 21st September at 3:30pm.
We are very excited about this new school year and the opportunity to work with Year Four children and their families.
