Thank you to the children and parents who attended the evening phonics workshop. We hope you got lots from the presentation and the children enjoyed their bedtime story and hot chocolate. Here are some helpful links below to help you with your child's reading fluency at home.
Reception have been learning about the seasons and changes. We have been learning about Autumn what happens to the weather, nature and animals around this time of year. To develop their understanding of growth, change and life cycles the children planted bulbs in our planter box outside. After close inspection of the bulbs and soil they made their predictions to what they thought might happen next...
The children celebrated Halloween by dressing up as a scary character and engaged in different activities linked to their spooky story Room on the Broom. The children created pictures and cards using Halloween stencils, made chocolate witches hats and ate pumpkin soup together.
Miss Ryan, Miss McKeown and Mrs Quayle have loved getting to know all the new boys and girls in Reception. The children have been very busy making new friends, exploring their classroom, enjoying their lunchtime routine and learning the golden rules at school. Have a look at what we have been getting up to
