Year 5

Jerusalem Joy

Wow Year 5! The children did an amazing job of re-enacting the events of Holy Week through drama and song. I absolutely loved everything about it and I know that all the children, staff and parents enjoyed the performance too. Thank you children for all your hard work, fantastic acting, readings and especially singing.

World poetry day.

Lacey, Gershom, Miguel, Elizabete, Keiara, Ryan, Roisin and Andre, are involved in Premier league stars with the Coventry City coaches. For world poetry day the children showed us their talents, by reading poetry in different rhythms, and voices. For example; Banging on the table to the rhythm of their reading. They really expressed their voices.

Belgrade theatre trip to watch 'The Railway Children'.

In year 5, the children are reading 'The Railway children' in English. What better way to launch the book, than to go and watch it at the theatre. The children really enjoyed it and now use what they have seen in the show, in their work.

The children were glued to the stage, and were commenting about how brilliant it was!

They are also really enjoying the book, and can't get enough of it. They know so much about the characters, and are really using their writing skills to explain the characters in so much depth.
