Health and Well Being Week

After a quick journey over to Birmingham, Year Six were welcomed by two guides outside St Chad's Cathedral in the centre of Birmingham. A quick descent down the Cathedral stairs took us down to the crypt where we started our tour. Our guides shared lots of interesting stories and showed us many artefacts and paintings as we went on a whistle-stop tour of the cathedral. We learned about Augustus Pugin, the architect behind the magnificent cathedral, as well as St Chad whose relics are kept safe behind the main altar. At lunchtime children celebrated mass with the local community Oliwia, Jessica and Caitlin did a fantastic job alter serving. It was a really enjoyable trip for all of the Year Six children and their behaviour was complimented by the guides who were with us. Visiting St Chad's Cathedral marks the start of the Year Six journey towards making the Sacrament of Confirmation early next year.

Today we welcomed Sergeant Paul into school. We enjoyed a talk from him all about internet safety. We certainly learnt a lot about being safe online. Here are some websites that will help give more information about internet safety.
