SCHOOL WILL BE OPEN AS USUAL NEXT FRIDAY 18TH DECEMBER
You may be aware that the Department for Education announced on Tuesday that schools could move one of their INSET (training) days to Friday 18th December this year if they wished.
This was to reduce slightly the chances of pupils and teachers being a close contact with a confirmed COVID case before Christmas and to reduce the time period that school staff would have to be informed of any arising cases during the first week of the holiday and then letting any close contacts be informed of the need to isolate. As a school we felt that it is too late notice to close early for pupils this term and therefore will be open as usual on Friday 18th December
