We had a wonderful Advent Art day across the school getting ready for this special season. Prayer areas have been updated and changed to the seasonal colours, Bambinelli's and lovely Advent wreaths made and we are looking forward to welcoming parents to our Class prayer times that the children have been preparing to share with you all. Please keep an eye out in the newsletter for all our lovely Advent events that families are invited to.

  • Confirmation Congratulations

    Fri 25 Nov 2022

On Wednesday 16th November, 19 of our Year 6 pupils, 2 former pupils now in Year 7 and some members of the parish received the Sacrament of Confirmation in St Osburg’s Church. It was wonderful to welcome Canon Paul Fitzpatrick to administer the sacrament on this special occasion. He also took the time to visit the children earlier that afternoon to discuss all their Saints and what the sacrament meant to them which was very kind of him. This followed on from their fabulous 'Speed Sainting' event earlier that week. On the evening, the children looked extremely smart and were so excited to be taking this next important step in their journey of faith. I was very impressed with their reverence and active participation as they led us through the Mass and received the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The church was beautifully adorned with Holy Spirit inspired art work and displays. Special thanks to Mrs McDevitt and Mr Jordan for all their hard work in preparing the children and the church. Special thanks to Father Pontius, Father Sunday, Mrs Green (Chair of Governors) and all the other staff for their help and support in what was a beautiful evening.

  • Remembrance Sunday - Family Mass

    Fri 25 Nov 2022

Thank you so much to the staff and children in Years 4 and 5 who led a very special Family Mass on Remembrance Sunday. The children read and sung beautifully. They also hung poppies on our Remembrance Tree during a time of reflection which was very moving. Lots of parishioners commented that is was lovely to have a special school and parish mass for Remembrance Sunday, so we will look to repeat this in future.

  • Early Years Welcome Mass

    Fri 04 Nov 2022

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special Mass as we welcomed all our youngest pupils and their families and asked for God’s blessing upon us all this academic year. It was a lovely, joyful occasion and wonderful to see our church so full of people.
