  • Chaplaincy Team Training

    Fri 24 Nov 2017

The 10 members of our Chaplaincy Team attended a training day at Cardinal Newman on Wednesday alongside members of the Chaplaincy teams from some other feeder schools. The children had a great time taking part in different activities and sharing lots of ideas to bring back to school. They focused particularly on the season of Advent and our team are looking forward to leading prayer times and other Advent activities back in school with the rest of our pupils. The day finished with a lovely mass where the children shared prayers that they had written, performed a dramatisation of the Gospel and sang their hearts out.

  • Anti Bullying Week

    Fri 17 Nov 2017

Thank you to School Council for launching Anti-Bullying week this week in school by leading a whole school assembly on Monday. We also introduced our new team of Peer Supporters who will be on hand to help any children who feel lonely or need someone to talk to at break times. All classes have been involved in discussions and activities to raise awareness of what bullying actually is and what to do if it is happening to them or they see it happening to others, working together to ensure that St Osburg’s is a happy and safe place for all.

  • World Values Day

    Fri 10 Nov 2017
On Thursday 19th October some of our Year 4 & 5 pupils celebrated World Values Day by taking part in the Engage World Values Day Rugby Festival at the Alan Higgs Centre. Our pupils in Year 4 & 5 have thoroughly enjoyed their rugby training and values education this term as part of the ‘Engage!’ programme and they played fantastically on Thursday morning and were unbeaten throughout the festival. Well done children!
