Science 'Growth' Photo Competition

  Both Year 2 and Year 5 took part in BBC’s live Science lesson this week on the theme of ‘Winter Watch’ and were especially delighted to see our school name on screen and receive a direct tweet from one of the presenters. The children loved learning about how nature adapts at this time of year and how we can support our local wildlife during winter.

  

• Young Carer' Awareness Day

  As yesterday was Young Carers Awareness Day, we celebrated the support that some of the children within our school community provide outside of school. This might be for a family member or family friend who is living with illness or disability. The theme this year is focusing on mental health so we have encouraged the children to make sure that they speak up and ask for our support when things become too much or difficult to manage. Our fabulous children, who have been identified as young carers, were treated to a hot chocolate and sweet treat yesterday afternoon. They loved this as well as playing games.
